EVERGLADES CITY, FLORIDA (June 13, 2012) “As you may know, Captain Wallace (Wally) Weatherholt was severely injured by an alligator on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Wally is recovering at a central Florida hospital and is in good spirits. Please remember Wally and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

We will endeavor to provide updates on Wally’s condition as that information becomes available but will be mindful of the privacy that should be afforded our good friend as he recovers.

Captain Doug’s will be opening an account at a Collier County bank where friends, acquaintances and supporters can make donations for the benefit of the Weatherholt family to help them through this traumatic time. We will post the bank name and other pertinent information on CaptainDougs.net as soon as the account is established.

We are also planning a fundraising event for the Weatherholt family and will update you on the specifics for that upcoming event.”
